The 3/4" male thread is compatible with 3/4" female threads - best to use with other plastic fittings rather than brass. Use a good quality PTFE white tape for thread to thread seals. When pushing the barbed fitting onto a cut end of LDPE, Black Supply tube, at top-tip is to dip the polytube into a thermos of hot water for a few seconds. This softens the tube and the barbed fitting will be easy to insert. When it cools, it shrinks onto the barb, creating a stronger connection.
